Jeanne Nelson has worked in the corporate sector for four decades. Her career has spanned television broadcasting, publishing, public relations and financial services. She has assisted CEOs at Fortune 500 and midsize companies. Most recently, she worked at BNY Mellon, where she advanced from executive assistant to vice president, overseeing a staff that provided administrative support in compliance, technology, facilities and business continuity planning to more than 500 client executives and their workforces on six continents.
For the last 18 years of her corporate career she hired, trained, supervised and mentored high school interns, and created a series of business etiquette workshops to prepare them for their current and future workplace success. She has presented at local colleges, vocational institutes and community organizations; currently, she offers online sessions.
Among her many industry and community contributions, Jeanne has served on the Associate Board of Junior Achievement of New York (JANY), as a docent of the Bronx Zoo, under the auspices of the Education Department of the New York Zoological Society (now, the Wildlife Conservation Society), and has volunteered on many political campaigns. Currently, she serves on a committee for a major political party in the Hudson Valley.
